Job summary

MedCare Pediatric in Texas is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). You will provide one-on-one therapy in children’s homes, helping them develop communication, feeding, and swallowing skills under supervision.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited SLPA program graduate and Texas SLPA license or eligibility, with pediatric experience preferred. We offer flexible scheduling (Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN), sign-on bonus, PTO, retirement plan, and laptop.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
  • Current Texas SLPA license, or eligible to obtain licensure by start date.
  • One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Support treatment plans addressing communication, articulation, language development, feeding, and swallowing needs.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with supervising SLPs and the care team.
  • Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to support each child's goals.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to promote carryover and progress.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
