Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice speech/language pathology in Texas.
• ASHA certification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand, walk, stoop and squat as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations of patients with physician referrals.
• Interprets evaluation findings and develops a written plan of care with goals.
• Implements a speech-language pathology treatment program and reassesses patient status.
• Communicates effectively with patients and families.
• Communicates with professional colleagues and supports team care.
• Manages time efficiently and documents care in the medical record.
• May serve as Clinical Instructor for Speech interns.
• Ensures safe care and adherence to Memorial Hermann policies and budgetary specs.
• Promotes professional growth and mentorship opportunities.
• Models Memorial Hermann service standards with compassionate, personalized care.
