Job summary

CommuniKids NY is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a full-time, on-site role in New York, NY, with potential split time between NY and NJ offices. The clinician will assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric and adolescent speech and language disorders using evidence-based approaches and individualized plans.

The role involves conducting evaluations, developing therapy programs, documenting progress, and collaborating with families and other clinicians in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist in New York and New Jersey; ASHA CCC-SLP preferred.
• Experience with pediatric and adolescent communication disorders.
• Knowledge and clinical skills in managing dysphagia and related swallowing concerns.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and family communication skills in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Experience with autism spectrum disorders, auditory processing disorders, or other complex developmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric and adolescent clients.
• Conduct evaluations, develop and implement therapy programs, and document progress.
• Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and other clinicians.
• Coordinate with occupational therapists for co-treatments when appropriate.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to ethical and regulatory standards.
