Job summary

The role supports regulatory compliance and certification, while delivering high-quality care to children and families. The position involves direct patient services, care coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing evaluation of treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech pathology or audiology services per ASHA scope of practice guidelines.
• Assists physicians in assessing patient functioning and plans of care.
• Records and reports patient responses and changes to care.
• Recommends hearing tests and checks hearing aids when needed.
• Assesses communication, oral-motor integrity, cognitive status, memory and problem solving.
• Evaluates and reevaluates speech pathology needs.
• Initiates, develops, and revises the plan of care and coordinates care.
• Initiates diagnostic, preventive and rehabilitative procedures as appropriate.
• Teaches and counsels patient, family and staff; uses educational materials.
• Coordinates total plan of care and attends care conferences.
• Maintains individualized patient care progress records and submits evaluations promptly.
