Job summary

Balanced Physical Therapy + Wellness in Albuquerque is seeking a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join a multidisciplinary team. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in children from infancy to teens, with a focus on individualized therapy.

You will collaborate with therapists across specialties, educate families, document progress, and stay current with best practices.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• New Mexico license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Experience with pediatric populations in clinical or educational settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in children.
• Specialized training and experience in feeding and swallowing therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
• Provide direct therapy to children with a variety of communication disorders, including articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, and language delays.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to provide holistic care.
• Educate and provide resources to families on communication strategies and techniques to support their child’s development.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional development.
• Stay current with research and best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology.
