Job summary

UCP of Central Florida is seeking a Medical Therapy Employee (MTE) to provide direct pediatric therapy services in-clinic and outpatient settings. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with schools and healthcare partners to implement effective therapy plans.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, setting measurable goals, adapting sessions, documenting progress, and coordinating with parents about home programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech therapy required.
• Active license from the Florida Department of Health, Florida Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology required.
• CCC-SLP certification (or obtained within 1 year) preferred.
• Pediatric developmentally challenged population experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy services in-clinic and outpatient settings according to regulations and caseload.
• Develop, implement and adjust measurable therapy goals and plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and other settings.
• Maintain documentation, progress notes and HIPAA-compliant records.
• Provide parent consultations and home program guidance.
• Assist with equipment recommendations and therapy-related devices as needed.
• Participate in meetings, clinics, and community outreach as required.

Education

Master’s degree in speech therapy

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)

Active license from Florida Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology
