Job summary

The ideal candidate holds ASHA certification with NYS TSSLD, and has at least three years of pediatric experience, including dysphagia/feeding therapy

Qualifications

• ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with NYS TSSLD certification.
• Minimum three years of pediatric experience, especially in speech sound disorders and early language development.
• Experience with PROMPT and Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC).
• Experience in pediatric dysphagia and feeding therapy; training in SOS, AEIOU a plus.
• Infant feeding interventions including breastfeeding/bottle feeding beneficial.
• Bilingual ability valued but not required.
• NY SLP licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric outpatient evaluations and treatment for speech, language, and feeding disorders.
• Collaborate with pediatric physical and occupational therapists.
• Educate patients and families on plans of care and rehabilitation techniques.
• Provide bedside swallow assessments and inpatient treatment in acute care for pediatric and adult populations.
