Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital West Campus in Houston seeks a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in feeding and swallowing and in speech-language therapy for ages 0–21. You will diagnose and treat complex pediatric cases, coordinate care with families and a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to program development.

Expect responsibilities in outpatient and inpatient settings, mentoring staff, and documenting progress while maintaining high standards of care in a fast-paced pediatric

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology, communication sciences and disorders, or a related field.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Two years of professional pediatric speech-language pathology experience, may include a clinical fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient evaluations and reassessments per guidelines.
• Develops individualized care plans with measurable goals with patients and families.
• Provides speech-language therapy within training scope with advanced competencies.
• Monitors outcomes and coordinates plans with families, physicians, and other health professionals.
• Educates patients and caregivers about treatment plans and home programs.
• Documents progress and treatment plans in the EMR.
