Job summary

Avita Health System in Galion, OH is seeking a Pediatric Speech Pathologist to join the Speech & Audiology Department. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, plan care, and deliver therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, social communication, and feeding/swallowing needs in pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an approved school of speech/language pathology.
• Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as Speech Pathologist).
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of principals and practice of speech pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, plan of care, and therapeutic interventions in speech, language, voice, fluency, social communication, and feeding/swallowing.
• Work directly with patients and families and collaborate with healthcare providers and other professionals.
• Provide education, counseling, and facilitation of additional care/intervention as needed; supply AAC systems when required.
