Job summary

Avita Health System in Galion, OH is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Speech & Audiology Department.

The SLP evaluates and treats speech, language, voice, fluency, social communication, and feeding/swallowing, collaborating with families and other healthcare professionals to plan care. Requirements include a Master’s degree, state licensure, and BLS; pediatric experience and ASHA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an approved school of speech/language pathology.
• Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology.
• BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of principles and practice of speech pathology.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, diagnosis, plan of care, and therapy in speech and language, voice, fluency, social communication, and feeding/swallowing.
• Work with patients and families and coordinate with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide augmentative and alternative communication systems when needed.
