Job summary

KidsCare Home Health seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assess and treat pediatric patients in home health settings in Plano, TX. You will work with families to reinforce communication goals and coordinate with caregivers.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state-issued professional licensure.
• Valid state driver license.
• CPR certified.
• Pediatric clinical experience preferred.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical treatment to patients including screenings, evaluations, direct treatment, and family training.
• Perform evaluations with focus on receptive and expressive language, articulation, and auditory skills.
• Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines.
• Maintain communication with the pediatric patient and family regarding progress and home programs.
• Refer patients and family members to appropriate services including other professionals, agencies, and resources as appropriate.
• Consult with physician on patient progress and maintains appropriate records.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Attend internal and external education functions and participate in QA and PI programs.
• Participate in continuing education and expand scope of service.
• Maintain adequate caseload with appropriate productivity.
• Mentor students and new hires.
• Collaborate with others through knowledge and skills sharing.
• Demonstrate initiative and independent judgment in performing all job responsibilities.
