Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to diagnose and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders to help children communicate effectively and improve quality of life within the ECMH Outpatient Clinic. Requirements include a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Valid Ohio License, ASHA certification or eligibility, and CPR within 60 days.

Pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Valid Ohio License in Speech Pathology required.
• ASHA Certification or eligible for supervision by a certified SLP during a fellowship experience required.
• CPR certification required within 60 days post hire.
• Previous pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients with varied diagnoses to determine developmental and functional status and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Administers therapeutic treatment to improve communication and swallowing abilities and monitors progress.
• Educates patients and families on goals and home activities; evaluates ongoing compliance.
• Documents and maintains caseload, scheduling, and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Communicates patient status and collaborates with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Conducts Speech-Language Pathology educational programs and supervises students and clinical fellows.
