Job summary

Easterseals Bluegrass in Kentucky seeks a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat children with speech, language, voice, fluency, and feeding/swallowing disorders. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA, or in the process of completing Clinical Fellowship (CF).
• Experience or training in pediatric assessment and intervention.
• Knowledge of evidence-based pediatric speech and language treatment approaches.
• Experience working in pediatric clinic, school-based, or early intervention settings.
• Experience with feeding and swallowing disorders (as applicable to the role).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing evaluations.
• Diagnose speech and language disorders and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapy services using developmentally appropriate and evidence-based practices.
• Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on progress.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure carryover of skills.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation per professional and payer requirements.
• Provide parent and caregiver education and training to support communication development.
• Ensure services comply with ASHA standards, ethics, and applicable laws.
• Maintain licensure, certification, and continuing education requirements.

This position collaborates with families, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, child-centered services while ensuring compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing evaluations
• Diagnose speech and language disorders and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services using developmentally appropriate and evidence-based practices
• Monitor, document, and analyze client progress; adjust treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to support carryover of skills
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with professional, regulatory, and payer requirements
• Provide parent and caregiver education and training to support communication development
• Ensure services are delivered in compliance with ASHA standards, ethical guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations
• Maintain licensure, certification, and required continuing education

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or in the process of completing Clinical Fellowship (CF)
• Experience or training in pediatric assessment and intervention
• Knowledge of evidence-based pediatric speech and language treatment approaches
• Experience working in pediatric clinic, school-based, or early intervention settings
• Experience with feeding and swallowing disorders (as applicable to the role)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with families and interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with documentation and billing requirements for insurance or school-based services
