Grand Valley Behavior (GVBSC), out of Grand Junction Colorado, provides "new" ABA and is seeking a part-time speech pathologist, with flexible scheduling and the potential to move to full-time if the right candidate so desires. Telehealth is also a possibility for the right candidate.

In the position of Pediatric Speech- Pathologist, you will be providing individually tailored therapy services to children, primarily ages 2 to 10 years of , with the possibility of clients up to the of 21. You will be responsible for evaluating and assessing clients, creating individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy, conducting collaborative and consultative services for caregivers and other professionals.

You should have a Master's degree in Speech Pathology and hold a current/valid license in the State of Colorado. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively communicate with clients, caregivers and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

A strong candidate will have a passion for working with children, a love of learning, a strong work ethic, strong communication skills, and a desire to work collaboratively with other service providers to support children, primarily ages 2 to 10.

Essential Duties:


  • Performs intervention activities for children 2 to 21 in center, private school, and in-home.
  • Complete progress notes, update plans of care, and update goals at 6 month and annual reviews
  • Collaborate with other service providers to create strategies based on client and family priorities that are measurable and meaningful.
  • Effectively communicate strategies and techniques that are functional for the childs and familys life.
  • Is culturally responsive and competent in working with a diverse population and range of communication delays/disorders

Requirements:


  • Current state licensure;
  • Degree from an accredited university;
  • Takes pride in delivering the highest quality of care;
  • Collaboration with BCBAs, OTs, PTs, physicians, caregivers, educators, and other client team members to deliver consistency and excellence in therapy;
  • Valid drivers license;
  • Proof of motor vehicle insurance;
  • Background Check and drug test;
  • Fulfill GVBSC training requirements
  • No major violations in the past three years.

Job Type:


  • Part-time with the ability to increase to Full-time;
  • Full benefits available for candidates who increase to full-time.
