Job summary

PDS Health in Maricopa is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience (PPE), creating a Patient for Life (PFL).

Assist with patient care, laboratory duties, and front-office coordination. Maintain a clean, sterile environment and help ensure the orthodontists' schedule runs smoothly while communicating effectively with the team.

One-year certificate or state-required training is preferred; travel between offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED and state-m mandated training for certification/licensure/registration.
• Specialty dental assistants may require valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between offices.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per the state Dental Auxiliaries Table of Permitted Duties.
• Assist clinicians during PPE and patient care.
• Escort patients to/from the front desk and introduce them to team members.
• Communicate with front and back office to keep the Orthodontists’ schedule running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory environment and sterilize instruments.
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to deliver quality care.
• Complete radiographs and intra‑oral pictures as directed by the clinician.
• Prepare tray setups and manage inventory of supplies.
• Record patient charting and health history in the digital chart.
• Ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines.
