Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a MA Specialty Care Coordinator who works under the direction of a licensed healthcare professional to perform clinical and administrative tasks for a designated department, clinic, or patient population at Phoenix Children’s.

This role requires clinical knowledge to facilitate patient care, remove barriers, improve care quality, and enhance the patient experience including floating to other locations as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an MA program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES or other DOE-approved program.
• MA certification from AAMA or AMT in lieu of graduation is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Works with care team to optimize patient care experiences and clinic flow.
• Acts as liaison for families within the disease population and collaborates with providers, nurses, and staff.
• Participates in planning and decision-making with unit leadership and healthcare team.
• Evaluates quality outcomes and patient satisfaction with multidisciplinary teams.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.

Education

Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, or other approved by the Department of Education
