Job summary

Scottish Rite for Children in Frisco, TX is seeking a Social Worker for a PRN, part-time role in the Ambulatory Surgical Center. You will manage caseloads of diverse inpatient and outpatient families, conduct biopsychosocial assessments, coordinate resources, and support discharge planning as a liaison with the care team.

The role requires a CSWE-accredited degree and Texas licensure (LBSW/LBSW-IPR or LMSW). Prior healthcare social work experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work from an accredited (CSWE) program.
• Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners licensure (LBSW/LBSW-IPR or LMSW) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in health care social work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload comprised of medically and culturally diverse inpatient and outpatient families.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments, identify resources and referrals, assist with discharge planning, and advocate between patient and systems.
• Demonstrate knowledge of child development related to diagnosis, assessment, intervention, and referral of children and adolescents to community agencies.
• Document information in the medical record according to department standards.
• Maintain knowledge of referral sources and community resources in Texas.
