Job summary

KidsCare Home Health in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to provide medically prescribed pediatric speech therapy in patients' homes. Under the supervision of a licensed SLP, you will guide patients and caregivers in therapy activities to improve communication skills.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences, state licensure, CPR, and 0–2 years of experience; pediatric/home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with emphasis in Communication Disorders and Sciences is required.
• Current state-issued professional licensure is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical treatment to pediatric patients including direct treatment and caregiver education.
• Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines.
• Maintain communication with the patient and family regarding progress and home programs.
• Refer patients and family members to appropriate services including other professionals, agencies, and resources as appropriate.
• Consult with supervisor on patient progress and maintain appropriate records.
• Participate in supervised visits as outlined by state guidelines.
• Maintain adequate caseload with appropriate productivity.
• Collaborate with team to achieve company goals.
• Actively participate in professional organizations and activities.
