Medasource is recruiting a Speech-Language Pathologist in Kentucky to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will work with patients, families, and the care team to ensure high-quality care and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, implementing therapy, and educating caregivers. Licensure in Kentucky and BLS are required or obtained within 90 days. Prior pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders or related field required.
• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conducts comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing disorders using clinical and instrumental assessments.
• Develops individualized, evidence-based treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient factors.
• Implements therapy techniques and interventions to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
• Assesses patient progress, adjusts plans as needed, and collaborates with the healthcare team for optimal outcomes.
• Educates patients and families on strategies to support communication and swallowing in daily activities.
• Provides consultation on speaking valves, electrolarynx, trachea-esophageal prosthesis, and other assistive devices as appropriate.
• Maintains accurate documentation and billing in compliance with standards.
• Supports resource assessment and process improvements within the department.
• Provides orientation and training to staff and students and maintains licensure.
