Job summary

Medasource is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Morehead, Kentucky. The role requires evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in SLP and an active license; CCC-SLP is preferred or eligible. BLS/CPR may be required. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
• CCC-SLP preferred or eligible to obtain.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (if required by facility).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, outpatient, skilled nursing, pediatrics, or home health is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapy to improve communication, swallowing function, and cognitive abilities.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized treatment plans that improve patients' communication abilities and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
