Job summary

KidsCare Home Health is seeking an Intern Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric home health therapy. The role involves evaluating and delivering speech-language services to children in their homes, and guiding caregivers in therapy tasks.

The position emphasizes mentorship, ethical care, and work-life balance within a supportive, therapist-owned environment. The intern will conduct screenings, evaluations, and direct treatment while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current state licensure required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver license required.
• Pediatric clinical experience preferred.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, organize, and conduct medically prescribed speech therapy for pediatric patients in a home health setting.
• Direct the patient and caregiver in selected tasks to reinforce and enhance performance.
• Provide clinical treatment including screenings, evaluations, direct treatment, and family training.
• Coordinate care with office staff and other disciplines.
• Maintain communication with patient and family regarding progress and home programs.
• Refer patients and family members to appropriate services when needed.
• Consult with supervisor on patient progress and maintain records.
• Participate in supervised visits as required by state guidelines.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and participate in QA programs.
• Attend education sessions and continue your professional development.
