Job summary

KidsCare Home Health seeks an Intern Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat pediatric clients in home health settings. You will guide caregivers and reinforce therapy goals under supervision, contributing to patient progress and family education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current state-issued professional licensure.
• Valid state driver license.
• CPR certification required.
• Pediatric clinical experience preferred.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical treatment to pediatric patients including screenings, evaluations, direct treatment, and family training.
• Perform evaluations with emphasis on receptive/expressive language, articulation, and oral motor skills.
• Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines.
• Maintain communication with patients and families regarding progress and home programs.
• Refer patients to appropriate services and resources as needed.
• Consult with supervisor on progress and maintain records.
• Participate in supervised visits as required by the State Board of Examiner's for Speech-Language Pathology.
• Maintain supplies and equipment; assist with inventory.
• Attend internal/external education sessions; participate in QA and PI activities.
• Maintain adequate caseload and contribute to departmental goals.
• Collaborate with team sharing knowledge and skills; show initiative.
• Serve as backup service provider for other caseloads when needed.
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
