Job summary

CABATS in Manassas, Virginia is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join a multidisciplinary pediatric team. Flexible full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules are available.

The role involves evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and collaboration with related therapies to support children’s communication and independence. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in SLP, Virginia licensure or eligibility, and ASHA CCC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
• Virginia SLP license or eligibility for Virginia provisional licensure.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred for experienced applicants.
• New graduates completing a Clinical Fellowship are welcome.
• Pediatric, autism or developmental-disability experience preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation and collaboration skills.
• Ability to complete required background and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language and communication evaluations.
• Develop individualized, medically necessary treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy.
• Address expressive, receptive, pragmatic and functional communication skills.
• Support AAC use when clinically appropriate.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
• Monitor progress and update treatment recommendations.
• Educate caregivers and promote generalization across settings.
• Collaborate with the client’s multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Follow professional, ethical, licensing and payer requirements.
