Job summary

Miami Neuroscience Institute, part of Baptist Health South Florida, is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluation, reevaluation, and treatment planning for pediatric and other patients. The role includes interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation, and discharge planning based on patient progress.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology with Florida licensure (or provisional), BLS certification, and 2+ years of pediatric experience.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Florida licensure or provisional licensure required.
• BLS certification required by employer.
• 2 years pediatric experience preferred.
• ASHA certification or CFY Candidate acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Participates in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary meetings related to patient care.
• Maintains and documents productivity standards set by leaders.
• Records daily patient documentation, statistics and charges timely and accurately.
• Ensures documentation reflects evidence-based practices.
• Implements and reevaluates plans of care based on patient progress and outcomes.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Develops and implements a plan of care with measurable goals.
• Provides treatments based on medical and clinical findings; prepares for discharge when appropriate.
• Maintains ongoing CEUs to sustain licensure and clinical excellence.
