Job summary

Miami Neuroscience Institute Baptist Health South Florida seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and develop care plans in line with department policies and best practices. You will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, document patient progress, and ensure care is evidence-based while supporting timely discharge planning.

The role emphasizes pediatric and adult populations, adherence to safety standards, and ongoing CEUs to maintain licensure and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Florida OT license or provisional OT license required.
• AHA BLS certification in good standing.
• Level II fingerprinting background check initiated within 15 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, re-evaluate, develop and implement plan of care per policies and preferred practice patterns.
• Participate in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary meetings related to patient care.
• Maintain and document productivity standards set by leadership.
• Document daily patient data, statistics, and charges accurately and timely.
• Ensure documentation reflects evidence-based practices.
• Improve access to care for patients served and discharge planning when appropriate.
