Job summary

The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for a Speech-Language Pathologist at the UAH Early Learning Center. The role focuses on serving children with language, speech, or hearing disorders within the classroom setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• At least 1 year of full-time experience with children birth to six with speech/language disorders.
• Experience with augmentative communication devices is required.
• Ability to complete records and progress notes in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions in classroom settings.
• Use standardized tests to diagnose and determine therapy eligibility.
• Provide consultative services to teachers and parents on communicative development.
• Maintain records and progress reports to track child progress.
• Train teachers to use AAC and model strategies in class.
• Coordinate services and ensure compliance with IEPs.
