Job summary

Dayton Children’s Sleep Lab is seeking a Polysomnographic Trainee to develop competency in basic sleep testing procedures and related interventions under the supervision of the Pediatric Sleep Center leadership. The role involves data intake, instrumenting patients, observing sleep behavior, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The trainee progresses toward RPSGT credentials via the AASM A-Step program. The position supports a 3-shift block (630p-7a), including weekends, with a 36-hour work

Qualifications

  • GED or High School diploma is required.
  • Completion of AASM A-Step program and educational modules within 6 months.
  • RPSGT credential within 18 months of ASTEP completion.
  • Enrolled in A-Step program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop competency in basic sleep testing procedures and interventions.
  • Assist with polysomnographic scoring and generate accurate reports.
  • Operate and troubleshoot sleep diagnostic equipment under supervision.
