Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to support middle school students in a contract role for the full school year. The itinerant position includes paid travel between assigned schools and direct/indirect therapy with a caseload of about 20 students, focusing on speech, communication, and autism-related needs.

Preferred candidates hold a valid OR SLP license (CCC or CFY), have pediatric/school-based therapy background, and are comfortable using teletherapy

Qualifications

• Valid OR SLP licensure (CCC or CFY accepted).
• Experience with pediatric and school-based therapy essential.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote services.
• Experience with IEP case management, service delivery and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to middle school students.
• Manage and implement IEPs, including developing goals and tracking progress.
• Conduct evaluations, write reports, and participate in team meetings (administrative time provided).
• Serve as a collaborative partner with educators and families, advocating for student needs.
• Remain organized while traveling between school sites (paid travel included).
• Utilize IEP systems confidently; training provided.
• Ensure compliance with administrative and district guidelines, including timely documentation.

Preferred experience and skills:

• Hold a valid OR SLP licensure (CCC or CFY applicants welcomed)
• Background in pediatric and school-based therapy
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote services
• Skilled in supporting diverse disabilities, including autism, intellectual, and specific learning disabilities
• Experience with IEP case management, service delivery, and documentation
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration with families and staff
• Adaptability to dynamic caseloads and capacity to work independently
