Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a School Social Worker to support students and families within our nationwide network. The role focuses on counseling, IEP collaboration, and coordinating social-emotional services in a school setting.

Qualified candidates hold a State Social Worker License and a Master’s in Social Work, with pediatric mental health experience preferred. Competitive benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• State Social Worker License required.
• Master's Degree in Social Work.
• Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical standards.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate activities with staff, families, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling to students and parents.
• Participate in multi-tiered support for students with social/emotional/behavioral needs.
• Participate in initial IEP and annual IEP development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with families and staff in weekly and follow-up meetings.
• Adhere to procedures for record keeping, eligibility, timelines, safeguards.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to meet meetings and services.
