Pediatric Developmental Services is seeking a qualified School Social Worker to provide counseling to students and families, participate in IEP processes, and collaborate with school teams to support social and emotional development.

The role requires a State Social Worker license and an LMSW; prior pediatric mental health experience is preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment in a school-based setting.

Qualificações

• State Social Worker License Required
• Master's Degree in Social Work
• LMSW required
• Experience or specialized training in the field of pediatric mental health is preferred
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively and courteously both verbally and in writing
• Has the ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with professional staff, support staff, parents, and representatives from agencies outside the school system

Responsabilidades

• Providing counseling services to students and their parents.
• Participate in a multi-tiered system of support for students with social/emotional and behavioral needs, including participation in inter-disciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss the diagnosis and treatment of students.
• Participating in initial IEP and annual IEP development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with and coach families and staff, during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings, to support social and emotional development.
• Adhere to federal/state/local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines and procedural safeguards.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with all required meetings and services.
