Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a School Social Worker to provide counseling to students and families and to support social-emotional development within the school community. This role requires a State Social Worker license and a Master’s degree in Social Work; pediatric mental health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires State Social Worker license.
• Master’s degree in social work.
• Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health preferred.
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and accountability standards.
• Communicates effectively with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling to students and parents.
• Participate in MTSS for social-emotional/behavioral needs and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Assist in initial IEP and annual IEP development as appropriate.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support social-emotional development.
• Maintain records per procedures and schedule required meetings.
