Job summary

Gersh Organization in West Hempstead, NY seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide school-based OT services for K-12 students. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, review outcomes, and adapt intervention plans to support student participation in education.

Requirements include completion of an NBCOT-accredited OT program, NY OTR/L licensure, and at least one year of pediatric school-based OT experience. Mon-Fri 8:00 AM-3:30 PM, with CPI considerations and active IEP planning.

Qualifications

• Must have completed NBCOT-recognized OT program and fieldwork.
• Must hold State OTR/L Licensure in the hiring state.
• One year of pediatric school-based OT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with disciplines to plan evaluation-based interventions.
• Evaluates student needs and develops occupational profiles.
• Prepares comprehensive reports guiding evidence-based intervention.
• Develops intervention plans to meet IEP goals.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings and team planning.
