Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric speech-language services in a school setting near Champaign, IL. The contract role focuses on evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students to support communication and academic success.

You will develop and update IEPs, work with educators and families, and deliver both direct and consultative therapy while documenting progress and collaborating with the school team.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience with pediatric caseloads and familiarity with school-based settings.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech-language and communication assessments for students.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to meet each student's unique needs.
  • Document progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and administration.
  • Participate in team meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional growth opportunities.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for students speech and language needs throughout the school community.
