Job summary

Home of the Innocents in Louisville, KY is seeking RN Staff Nurses for the Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center to lead care for medically complex children and young adults.

You will assess, plan, and implement individualized care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and receive training for ventilator/tracheostomy care. Self-scheduling is available, with shifts and hours designed to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Kentucky (KY)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (provided if needed)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, passion for working with children and families
• Commitment to trauma-informed care and collaborative teamwork

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for children and young adults with complex medical needs
• Lead care planning by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment approaches
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care with training available for newcomers
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Educate residents and families on managing medical conditions to improve long-term outcomes
• Foster a trauma-informed, nurturing environment that supports healing and well-being
