Job summary

Valley Children\'s Hospital’s Explorer unit seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to coordinate care for post-surgical pediatric patients. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions to achieve optimal outcomes under the direction of the nurse executive.

The role requires CA RN license, BLS, PEARS within specified timelines and a program-accredited nursing education; bilingual skills are a plus. Overnight shifts and a high-rotation schedule reflect the unit\'s fast pace.

Qualifications

• RN license in California (CA-BRN) required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
• PEARS certification required within 12 months of hire or transfer into position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care plan through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions.
• Provide competent nursing care under the direction of the nurse executive and within Nursing Practice Act.
