Corewell Health's Pediatric Care Unit at Royal Oak Hospital is seeking a part-time RN for night shifts to deliver high-quality pediatric nursing care. The RN will work 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., 24 hours per week, with variable days and every-other weekend.

The unit handles diverse pediatric diagnoses with a broad supportive care team. Requirements include an RN license (MI) or within 60 days, Associate/ Diploma in Nursing, BLS, PALS within 1 year, and 1 year of acute care experience, with pediatric

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing within 5 years if new graduate.
• NCLEX licensure required; license valid in Michigan.
• MI RN license required or within 60 days of hire.
• BLS required upon hire/transfer; PALS within 1 year.
• Specialty certification encouraged within 2 years.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience; pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Apply patient-family centered care principles in planning and care.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients.
• Collaborate with Nurse Leader and educate patients and families.

Education

Assoc. or Diploma in Nursing

Bachelor's in Nursing (within 5 years)

NCLEX licensure required (or equivalent)

MI Registered Nurse

BLS required on hire/transfer

PALS within 1 year

Specialty Certification encouraged

1 year acute care RN experience

Pediatric experience preferred
