Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking a Pediatric RN for a 36-hour week on a 7p-7a night schedule in a General Pediatrics unit. The RN will participate in governance, care planning, and quality initiatives while delivering compassionate pediatric care.

Minimum 6 months of RN experience is preferred, with BLS and an active RN license. The unit collaborates across teams, with patient safety and accurate digital charting emphasized throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state.
• BSN preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Engage in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate patient care, partnering with patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Uphold a culture of safety and ensure accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate appropriately.
