Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a capable clinical RN for a 12‑hour Afternoon–Evening shift. The role emphasizes leadership, quality improvement, and coordination of care for complex patients within an interdisciplinary team.

For new graduates, focus is on developing knowledge and skills while delivering direct patient care and seeking mentoring. This position participates in NGMC committees and Nursing Quality Teams, supporting a culture of safety and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia. Current National Professional Certification required.
• Educational requirements: ADN or Diploma; Associate’s Degree required.
• Minimum experience: ADN with 5 years or BSN with 3 years; RN II benchmarks apply.
• NGHS classes attendance: Clinical Preceptor Course, DPM Huddle Facilitation, Charge Nurse Development.

Responsibilities

• Transformational leadership: serve as charge nurse ensuring cost‑effective, quality, patient‑focused care.
• Lead teams and participate on NGMC committee/council as part of daily practice.
