Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and manage transitions of care within a multidisciplinary setting. The RN will practice under the organization’s Professional Practice Model, contributing to quality improvement and evidence-based care.

Qualified candidates will have WA RN licensure, BLS, PALS and ACLS (or ability to obtain within 1 year). Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred; 2 years acute care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Washington state RN license is required.
• BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain within 1 year).
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Bachelor's in Nursing preferred; 2 years acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Diagnosis: Collects and analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis/issues
• Outcomes Identification and Planning: Identifies expected outcomes and develops a plan that prescribes strategies which address health promotion and restoration, health maintenance, or health related problems or issues and alternatives to attain expected outcomes
• Implementation and Coordination of Care Delivery: Implements the identified plan and coordinates care delivery
• Health Teaching and Health Promotion: Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment
• Evidence-based Practice and Research: Integrates evidence and research findings into practice
