Job summary

Shriners Children’s in Oregon seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and manage transitions of care within the organization’s Professional Model. The RN will lead in planning, implementing, and evaluating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and department-specific certifications (PEAR, PALS, ACLS). A Bachelor in Nursing is preferred, with experience in acute pediatric care highly valued.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice.
• BLS required; PEAR/PALS/ACLS as required by department.
• Bachelor in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess comprehensive data and interpret to derive diagnoses or issues.
• Modify the care plan according to ongoing assessment and patient response.
• Document outcomes and care plans using standardized language.
• Implement the plan of care with patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Utilize teaching strategies for patient education.
• Evaluate patient/family understanding and response to care.
• Maintain professional nurse-patient relationships and advocate for patients.
• Apply current evidence-based knowledge to guide practice.
