Job summary

Kid's Thrive Dayton is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift in Dayton, OH. You will provide safe, patient-centered care and collaborate with physicians, clinicians, patients, and families to support positive outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, graduate of an accredited nursing program, and current BLS certification. Prior clinical experience is preferred, with strong assessment and communication skills, dedicated to teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Previous clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, organization and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients per standards and protocols.
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes needing intervention.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Communicate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, care plans and follow-up needs.
• Promote patient safety, comfort, dignity and privacy.
• Maintain compliance with policies, infection-control standards and regulations.
• Participate in quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
