Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and perform the nursing process within an interdisciplinary healthcare team. The role emphasizes age- and developmentally appropriate, family-centered care in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 12 months RN experience required
• Graduation from accredited school of nursing
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment or start of clinical shift if ED
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PEARS certification within 1 year as required

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing process across the continuum to deliver age- and developmentally appropriate patient-family-centered care.
• Integrates values and language preferences into healthcare delivery in a culturally sensitive way.
• Utilizes clinical decision support tools to recognize issues, prioritize care, and modify plans.
• Uses documentation tools to record, measure, and retrieve healthcare data.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate for identified learning needs.
• Delivers nursing care that is safe, effective, and financially responsible.
