Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process within a multidisciplinary team. The position emphasizes evidence-based practice and patient-centered care across care coordination activities.

The role requires GA RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, and PALS/PEARS within one year, with 12 months RN experience. BSN preferred; shift 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 12 months RN experience required.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
• PALS or PEARS within one year of employment as required by department.
• Graduation from accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates and maintains effective interaction/communication with medical staff, nursing staff, social workers, and others to drive the care coordination process and facilitate continuity of patient care.
• Communicates with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care for specialty and general patient needs.
• Coordinates with home health agencies, third‑party payors, and community resources to meet patient needs.
• Facilitates ongoing communication with patient/family and team to identify and resolve barriers.
• Oversees nursing care delivered by unlicensed personnel and maintains accountability for patient care quality.
• Engages in teaching/coaching roles and supports shared leadership initiatives.
