Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide age-appropriate, patient-family-centered care on a clinical unit. The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care and smooth patient flow.

The role requires at least 12 months RN experience, valid GA (or multi-state) RN licensure, and BLS certification within 30 days. PALS/PEARS may be required within the first year of employment depending on the department.

Qualifications

• 12 months RN experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in GA or Multi-State via eNLC.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment or start of shift.
• PALS or PEARS certification within 1 year as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing process across the continuum to deliver age- and developmentally appropriate patient-family-centered care.
• Integrates values and language preferences into healthcare delivery through a culturally sensitive process.
• Utilizes clinical decision support tools to recognize issues, prioritize care, and modify plan of care as needed.
• Utilizes documentation tools to record and retrieve healthcare data.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate for identified learning needs.
• Plans and provides nursing care that is safe, effective, and financially responsible.
• Participates in lifelong learning to maintain knowledge and competence.
• Takes action to achieve goals identified during performance review.
