Responsibilities

• Assist provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information and preparing patient for examination, treatment and minor procedures.
• Demonstrates competence in clinical skills necessary to carry out assigned duties.
• May draw blood and collect samples for lab analysis.
• Apply Nursing Process within licensure guidelines.
• Telephone triage: provide and document care advice and follow-up.
• Administer vaccines and medications via oral, IM, SQ or ID routes.
• Place urinary catheters and IVs per protocol.
• Schedule referrals and complete forms for referrals or labs.
