• Proficiency in immediate cardiac post-operative care, inotropic medications, mediastinal chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, neonatal care, advanced airways, and ventilator management.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to deliver family-centered care in a pediatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients in both intensive and intermediate care settings.
• Manage post-operative cardiac patients, including monitoring and administering inotropic medications.
• Care for patients with mediastinal chest tubes, central and arterial lines.
• Deliver neonatal care and manage advanced airways and ventilators.
• Support patients and families through family-centered care practices.
• Document nursing care and interventions using EPIC EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Facility: Pediatric Cardiac ICU (12-bed unit, opened November 2023)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: August 24, 2025
• End Date: November 22, 2025
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910-$1960
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 2:1 for ICU care; 3:1 for intermediate care
