Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

Location: Cleveland, Ohio 44111 (Ohio nursing jobs)
Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (5 Pavilion)
Assignment Length: 18 weeks (September 5, 2025 – January 9, 2026)
Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts per week (7:00pm – 7:30am)
Total Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,780 - $1,910 per week
Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Locum Tenens RN

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required for travel nursing jobs
Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State Registered Nurse license required
Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications
Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date
One recent supervisory reference in Med/Surg Telemetry specialty (manager, ANM, supervisor, director, or charge RN)
Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
Background check and fingerprinting required prior to employment
Ability to complete all required onboarding modules for healthcare professionals

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, perform patient assessments, and document care accurately in the electronic health record
Educate patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes and patient satisfaction
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, clinical procedures, and healthcare safety standards
Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment
Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
