Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to evaluate, treat, and care for pediatric patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. The role requires NJ licensure, NBRC RRT, and BLS certification, with a possible BS degree preferred.

You may be required to work at various sites within the system and participate in team-based care, education, and continuous improvement initiatives. The position offers day shift hours and part-time scheduling (24 hours/week).

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRC approved Respiratory Therapy Education program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with NBRC.
• NJ State Respiratory License required.
• AHA BLS Provider Certification required.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat, and care for pediatric patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Work within hospital policies and department guidelines to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to promote continuity of respiratory care.
• Demonstrate ISTAT blood analysis system use and adhere to lab policies.
• Maintain patient and family education within defined timeframes.
• Serve as a role model to students and new staff.

Education

Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education approved program of Respiratory Care

Registered Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care

NJ State Respiratory License

AHA BLS Provider Certification

Bachelor's of Science degree
