Job summary

Childrens Specialized Hosp is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate, treat and care for pediatric patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. The role offers a day shift on a part-time schedule (24 hours per week) in New Jersey.

The successful candidate will join the Respiratory Care department and contribute to high-quality patient care. Qualifications include an approved Respiratory Care program, NBRC credentialing, NJ licensure and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education approved program of Respiratory Care
• Registered Respiratory Therapist from NBRC
• NJ State Respiratory License
• AHA BLS Provider Certification
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work at any site when needed
• Demonstrates evidence of the ISTAT blood analysis system and follows all policies and procedures relative to the laboratory
• Recognizes and accurately identifies obvious patient and family health care needs
• Plans, implements and evaluates plans of care for pediatric patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary disorders
• Promotes continuity of respiratory care and interdisciplinary interventions
• Serves as a role model to Respiratory students and new employees

Education

JRCERT-approved Respiratory Care program

Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC)

NJ State Respiratory License

AHA BLS Provider Certification

Bachelor of Science degree (preferred)
