Job summary

Phoenix Children’s invites applications for a part-time Respiratory Care Pract II at our Avondale ED Campus. The role supports neonatal to adolescent patients in a high-acuity pediatric environment, working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional respiratory care.

Candidates must hold BLS, be an NBRC-registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and have or be eligible for AZ respiratory care licensure. PALS preferred and AARC membership encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.
• Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligible).
• PALS certification preferred. AARC membership encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures.
• Operates and troubleshoots respiratory care equipment.
• Explains care modalities to patients and families clearly.
• Delivers care in emergency department settings.
• Maintains documentation for patient care and billing.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Stays up-to-date with standards and competency validations.
• Works effectively in a team, especially during stressful periods.
• Manages multiple priorities with strong time management.
